Come join us for a workshop on R programming! This workshop will be taught by Jay Forrest, the Content Management Group Chair and Data Scientist Librarian at the Georgia Tech Library, who also regularly teaches a GT 4801 course called “Open Data with R”. It will be taught at this link.
No prior knowledge of R is required, but we highly recommend that you have a basic understanding of general programming concepts (data types, conditionals, loops, etc.) before attending (CS 1301/1371 or an equivalent class is sufficient background). R is a powerful tool for statistical analysis that is commonly used in the workforce. You will also be expected to learn and use R for many ISYE 3030 and ISYE 4031 classes, which are required for all IE undergraduates. Don’t miss out on a valuable opportunity to learn this skill!
This workshop is free to attend. Any necessary course materials will be emailed to you on the day of. Please RSVP by 11:59 PM on September 1 to ensure that you receive all course materials at this link. The meeting link will be sent to those who RSVP by this deadline.
