Career Fair Plus Student Resources

Recruiting is entirely virtual for the Georgia Tech IISE Chapter this season. For students and recruiters alike, this process will be different from previous experiences. To be better prepared for Career Fair, we’ve compiled a list of resources and a step-by-step guide to be ready for the big day! Note: due to the virtual format on Career Fair Plus, career fair preparation requires a few extra logistic steps before you can participate.

General Information

Students are able to access Career Fair Plus both on mobile app and on web browser. IISE is very excited to use this platform for our Career Fair. Some of you may be familiar with the platform as many other Georgia Tech Career Fairs will be run on it this Fall, but for those that aren’t, we’re here to walk you through it.

Companies will choose time slots for which their representatives are available to hold virtual appointments with students. On September 2nd, this schedule will be released and you will be able to log on and sign up for meeting time slots with the companies of your choice. The time slot duration will vary by company, but will be around 5-10 minutes of one-on-one conversations. If the recruiter wants to speak with you further, you will receive a link to an external meeting. In addition to virtual appointments, some companies will have drop-in rooms that are more similar to a physical booth at an in-person carer fair.

Step-by-step Set Up

Installing the App

Selecting the IISE Career Fair

Select “Student/Candidate” and click “Continue”
Search for “Georgia Institute of Technology” under Organizations
Scroll and select “IISE Virtual Career Fair Fall 2021”

Creating an Account

Select “Virtual Appts.” in the bottom navigation bar
Select “Create Account”
Complete . If you have not completed your profile you will see a progression bar on the bottom.
Your profile MUST be 100% completed before you can select any virtual appointments

Sign Up for Virtual Appointments

Sign-ups open Sept. 7th, 2021
Select “Employers” in the bottom navigation bar
Select the Company you’d like to schedule an appointment with
Click “View Meetings”
Select the Recruiter you’d like to meet with and reserve a time slot
Select “Virtual Appts.” in the bottom navigation bar to view all of your appointments
